The Otero Corporation was founded in November 2007 by Jessie M. Otero as a Human/Social Service organization with the sole intent of providing excellent services to people with intellectual and/or developmental disabilities. The Otero Corporation is a locally owned and managed Program Approved Service Agency (PASA) contracting with its' local Community Centered Boards (CCB) Foothills Gateway, Inc . in Larimer County & Envision in Weld County. The Otero Corporation works in partnership with Foothills Gateway, Inc., Envision, The Division of Developmental Disabilities, and other community resources to ensure the necessary supports and services are readily available to all people with disabilities to ensure successful outcomes. Jessie Otero has over 40 years experience in the field of Human Service and has provided services and supports to people with intellectual disabilities in 16 different States. Jessie encourages us all to do more than just embrace the newest trend when it comes to working with people with disabilities. As a motivational speaker he has presented to hundreds of thousands of administrators, executives, governmental funding personnel, direct support professionals, direct care workers, consumers, families, friends, and advocates of people with disabilities about the responsibility providers have in fostering a caring, loving, and learning environment where all people can be allowed to "dream" and strive for "lives" that make the most sense to the person.
The Otero Corporation is a strong advocate of individual choice and self-determination and strongly supports people with disabilities in making their own choices. The selection process begins with the person in service, their family members and their case manager (assigned through the Community Center Board (Foothills Gateway, Inc. in Larimer County & Envision in Weld County). Once the person has selected a PASA to provide his/her services/supports, the Community Center Board creates a service agreement with the PASA to provide the services to them. If you'd like additional support during this selection process, please do not hesitate to contact our administrative office for clarification, answers to your questions, or additional information. Please contact Mikaela Otero, Executive Director- 970.460.0385 ext. 1001.
The Otero Corporation philosophy is to work with "the best of the best" and to have only "very best" become a part of our team.
